20 Houston-area restaurants offering free and discounted meals on Veterans Day

Willie’s Grill & Icehouse locations throughout the Houston area will honor veterans and serving military personnel on November 11 by inviting them to try new sandwiches for free. Choose from the new Texas Patty Melt or Cajun Fire Chicken sandwiches.

The local restaurant industry greets military veterans with free meals and substantial discounts throughout the city on Veterans Day, November 11. Veterans and serving military personnel are eligible for promotions at these participating restaurants:

Fèges barbecue: Veterans eat free Nov. 11 at the Houston BBQ Restaurant (3 Greenway Plaza and 8217 Long Point), co-owned by Army Veteran Patrick Feges. All military service members and veterans will enjoy a free meal; mention the service at the cash register. Plus, veterans get a 10% discount per day at both locations.

Willie’s Grill & Icehouse: Several locations in the Houston area will honor serving veterans and military personnel on Nov. 11 by inviting them to try new sandwiches for free. Choose from the new Texas Patty Melt or Cajun Fire Chicken sandwiches, both served with fries. Offer for current and former military (show ID) for in-store meals.

The original Ninfa: The Original on Navigation, 2704 Navigation, and Ninfa’s Uptown, 1700 Post Oak, will salute veterans and active-duty service members with free chili con queso on November 11. Tell your service server to get a free queso.

Scooter cafe: The drive-thru specialty coffee brand, 3023 Barker Cypress and 2401 Main at Pearland, is offering veterans a free drink of any size on November 11. Veterans can present their military ID to enjoy a hot, iced or mixed drink of their choice.

Fogo from Chao: The Brazilian Steakhouse is offering all veterans and active duty personnel 50% off the entire meal on November 11 at all locations, including 8250 Westheimer. Up to three guests of each veteran or active duty guest will receive a 10 percent discount on meals. Valid military ID required; excluding take-out orders or alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and dessert.

Grilled Romano macaroni: Mom’s free admission to Mom’s Ricotta Meatballs and Spaghetti is free for veterans Nov 11 at all locations, including 1155 Lake Woodlands Dr., Spring. Veterans and serving members present military ID or other proof of service for lunch or take-out (not valid upon delivery).

Bombshells Restaurant and Bar: All 10 Texas locations will be offering free meals to veterans on Nov. 11 (active duty members and any accompanying family members will get a 20 percent discount). Veterans and active duty members of any branch of the United States Armed Forces will be asked to present military identification.

Fish City Grill: The restaurants at 11200 Broadway in Pearland and 15980 City Walk in Sugar Land Town Square in Sugar Land will offer veterans and active-duty military members free admission (up to $ 20.99) on November 11; available for on-site and take-out orders.

Tableware Company: All locations (five in Houston, one in Katy) offer a 20% discount each day for military veterans and active duty members. Show your military ID card for a discount.

Brennan’s from Houston: The iconic Texas Creole restaurant is offering a 30% discount on meals (excluding alcohol) to active and former military personnel on November 11. Show valid military ID to qualify for the discount.

Molina’s canteen: The three locations of the classic Tex-Mex restaurant (7901 Westheimer, 3801 Bellaire and 6300 FM 1463 in Fulshear) will offer a 50% discount (excluding alcohol) to all service members on November 11 for dinner only. Show valid military ID to receive a discount.

Phat Restaurant: The Malaysian street food restaurant in Katy is offering a 30% discount (excluding alcohol) to all veterans and military personnel all day on November 11 for take out and take out orders. Show military ID to get a discount; 23119 Colonial Pkwy. In the Asian town of Katy.

New York restaurant: The new restaurant at 5422 Bellaire will offer 30% off all-day shopping on November 11 for veterans and serving military personnel with ID. Offer excludes alcohol; open 7:00 am to 4:00 pm The Original Esther’s Cajun Café & Soulfood: The 5204 Yale restaurant is offering 15% off all Veteran purchases all day November 11; open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Dickey barbecue pit: Several locations in Houston are offering a free pulled pork sandwich to veterans on November 11. Veterans can use the offer in take-out stores and online for pickup (code VETFREE). In addition, from November 11 to December 31, Dickey’s will reduce veterans orders by 15% when they use the code VETERAN15.

Sirens: Veterans and active duty military personnel will receive a free meal at participating Hooters stores on November 11 with the purchase of a beverage. Free entry to the Hooters Veterans Day menu includes a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Burger, or 10-Piece Boneless Wings.

Barn : The 2517 Ralph Restaurant and Bar in Montrose will offer free chicharrones to all veterans on November 11; open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tobiuo Sushi & Bar: Katy’s Sushi Restaurant is offering 25 percent off (excluding alcohol) for Veterans on November 11 for dinner. Show a valid military ID to benefit from a discount; 23501 boul. Cinco Ranch in LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

Yelo: Banh mi sandwich shop in Katy is offering a 30% discount on take out or take out orders on November 11. Show a military ID to benefit from the discount; 23119 Colonial Pkwy., Katy Asian Town.

Axelrad: The Midtown open-air bar at 1517 Alabama is offering veterans 20% off all orders each day and welcomes veterans especially on November 11; open from 2 p.m. to midnight.
