There’s a new pancake coming to town, tucked inside the Stonebriar Center in Frisco: Called Delicious Crepe, it will serve pancakes, sweet and savory, made to order.
According to a spokesperson for the mall, it is slated to open in the next few weeks, in the center of the mall near Nordstrom, right next to Clean Origin, the jewelry store.
Crepe Delicious was founded in 2004 by Chef Oded Yefet, a veteran of the food and beverage and hospitality industry who became enchanted with the idea after visiting Paris and seeing street vendors serving pancakes in a casual take-out format, much like hot dog stands in America.
He began franchising in 2005. There are currently over 65 locations in North America, not only his homeland, Canada, but also the United States, mainly on the east coast including New York, Detroit, Atlanta. and Orlando, Florida. This will be the first location in Texas.
There are breakfast pancakes with omelet-like toppings such as Western, with diced ham, peppers, red onions, and grated cheese; and the Florentin, with spinach, sliced ââmushrooms and grated cheddar cheese.
Savory options are found in any kitchen and include Chicken Caesar, Chicken Teriyaki, and the Mediterranean which looks a bit like a Greek salad with mozzarella cheese, romaine, tomato, red onions, black olives, feta cheese and Greek feta dressing. There’s also a falafel pancake with hummus, lettuce, tomato, red onions, and Greek sauce.
Sweet Pancakes include your standard sweet pancake toppings: Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate, and Nutella. Some places also offer panini sandwiches, salads and ice cream.
The chain is promoting its pancakes as a healthy option, with the pancakes themselves containing 170 calories and 3 grams of fat, and the option to choose fresh ingredients for a healthy meal on the go.
They also offer a catering service, with a team that tows crepe makers and ingredients of your choice, to be prepared and assembled on site at parties and events.
