The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am returns to the Central Coast this weekend and will once again feature some of the best professional golfers from around the world.

Amateur golfers, including celebrities and professional athletes, and spectators surrounding the touchline are also returning after missing last year’s event due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The four-day tournament began Thursday with matches at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club. The final round is scheduled for Sunday at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

“There is still considerable excitement surrounding the tournament, but with spectators and celebrities on hiatus last year, the buzz is even greater with their return for 2022,” said Monterey Peninsula Foundation CEO Steve John. . “It promises to be memorable for the deserving players, fans, volunteers and charities who will benefit.”

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, hosted by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, features American Ryder Cup teammates Patrick Cantlay, Jordan Spieth and Daniel Berger, who is set to defend his AT&T title from ages ago. a year.

Other top pros include Matt Fitzpatrick, Kevin Kisner, Justin Rose and Maverick McNealy, the Stanford graduate who was runner-up after Berger in 2021.

Other celebrities making their tournament debuts include two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion Mia Hamm and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts, who was the first player in Major League Baseball history to win the Most Valuable Player award. Lukas Nelson, country rock musician and son of Willie Nelson; ScHool Boy Q, American rapper and songwriter from South Central Los Angeles; and Scott Eastwood, actor and producer, also made the trip.
