Bar owner opposes Salt Lake County mask warrant

Salt Lake County (ABC4– A Salt Lake County bar owner speaks out against the 30-day mask warrant issued by Salt Lake County officials on Friday.

Bar owner Rob Joseph is the owner of several clubs and bars and calls the tenure a “political coup”. Joseph also added that if officials were “really concerned about the health issues, they would have given advance notice of a pending warrant allowing businesses to prepare.”

Joseph issued the following statement regarding the mask’s mandate:

“As the owner of several bars and clubs: this mask mandate is nothing more than an 11th hour political coup. If they were genuinely concerned about the health issues, they would have given advance notice of a pending warrant allowing businesses to prepare. They would also give notice so that the county council and the governor can weigh in on the mandate. NY and California have had the strictest mandates in the country and yet the highest number of people infected. They clearly don’t know what they are doing and it smacks of political demagoguery than trying to address the health issue.

They are just trying to make things as difficult as possible or as uncomfortable as possible in order to force their vaccination mandate which to date has proven not to stop the spread of Covid with many people continuing to contract and die from Covid even after being vaccinated. and booster injections. I personally know people in the out-of-state bar industry where warrants were in effect and they had to shut down their bars because all of their employees are still posting saying they’ve been vaccinated and that they received a booster injection for Covid. Not just once, but several times.

The mask’s mandate went into effect on Saturday January 8 and runs until February 7 at 5 p.m.
