Police investigate shooting near Cherry Hill HS football game


Cops are investigating a Friday night shootout near the Cherry Hill High School West home football game.

Camden County Acting Attorney Jill Mayer and Acting Cherry Hill Police Chief Larry Robb said the shooting happened around 8:45 a.m. in a residential area near Fulton and Weld streets, which is in the immediate vicinity of the football complex.

Cherry Hill West was playing at Bridgeton High School at the time.

Authorities say eight shell casings were found at the scene. There are currently no confirmed victims or suspects.
