Sterling Holiday Resorts launched its signature Restobar, Sterling LOCAL at Sterling Goa Varca and Sterling Wayanad. In keeping with the brand’s promise of discoveries and experiences, Sterling LOCAL is conceptualized with an idea of taking popular foods and drinks and giving them a ‘desi’ touch by incorporating fresh regional ingredients, local drinks, cuisines and cooking styles to create foods and drinks inspired by the region.
Sterling LOCAL Restobars have already launched at Sterling’s Ooty, Kodai and Yercaud stations and many more are expected to launch in a short time. Goa’s restobar offers an interesting fusion of local ingredients like kokum and local drinks like feni and mahua with culinary styles ranging from konkan to Portuguese. This includes drinks like Peru Meru and Varca Feni-o-Tini. Wayanad’s restobar is a beer and wine bar inspired by the myriad of bird species that inhabit the resort with interesting beer cocktails like The Radler called Warbler and wine cocktails like infused nannari syrup Nannari Barbath-Sarbath wine.
“Inspired by the successful launches and positive reviews from Sterling LOCAL in Ooty, Kodaikanal and Yercaud, we wanted to quickly expand the concept to multiple destinations and different states where our resorts are located; each with its own distinctive and daring culinary highlights.
