Just in time for Halloween, Thorn Restaurant & Lounge, located in The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel, located at 5200 Pearl St., is delighted to partner with The Prisoner Wine Company for a wine of exclusive prisoner Dinner on Friday October 29 at 7 p.m.
The special two-hour evening will be hosted by John Samaritano, a WSET III Certified Sommelier, and will feature a personalized four-course menu perfectly crafted and complemented by Thorn Executive Chef Nicholas Malloy. Tickets cost $ 110 per person and are available now for purchase. Tickets are extremely limited and will sell out.

The prisoner’s wine dinner will begin with a light cocktail, while guests enjoy organic prosecco. Customers will then be taken to their seats, where John Samaritano will start the evening by leading customers through a daring but sweet Saldo Zinfandel, accompanied by a Korean-style fried smoked pork belly, topped with miso cream, apple kimchi. and cilantro. Guests will then switch to a bright and crunchy Unshackled Pink, topped with seared scallop, butternut squash risotto, Brussels sprouts, parsnips, prosciutto chips, almonds and a salad of rocket. From there, John will talk about the rich and balanced eternally silent pinot noir, with braised ribs from Denver, pinot polenta, crispy broccolini, mint candied shallots and a red butter sauce. To end the evening on a sweet note, John will take guests through the richly tasty Prisoner Red Blend which is complemented by Tres Leches red wine chocolate topped with mirror glaze.
