Stella’s Wine Bar is Tilman Fertitta’s latest destination for wine and dining at the Post Oak Hotel in Uptown Houston.

There’s a chic new wine destination in town, and it’s none other than the Post Oak Hotel in Uptown Houston, owned by billionaire businessman Tilman Fertitta.
Stella’s wine bar opened on weekends. It is named after the Fertitta family’s pet pig, Stella.

The Wine Bar (or should we say, Pig Bar?) Master Sommelier Keith Goldston runs the hotel’s wine program and Julie Dalton is now Stella’s Wine Director after holding the same position at Mastro’s Steakhouse .
“No other wine concept in Houston offers our level of talent,” Dalton said in a statement. “The combination of knowledge and accessibility of our team of sommeliers is what makes us a unique destination. “
Stella’s main wine list features six themed tasting flights and over 50 selections from California, France, Italy and more, but the wine bar also has access to the Post Oak Hotel’s cellar, which contains around 35,000 selections from 30 countries. The award-winning inventory is worth over $ 5 million.

Post Oak Executive Chef Jean-Luc Royere created the food menu. Expect snacks and platters to share such as pretzel bites with chipotle sauce; pork and beef meatballs with basil marinara; three flatbreads including a prosciutto, fig and gorgonzola; four slider options like beef jam and bacon (sorry, Stella); and a selection of cheeses and cold meats.
The 1,800-square-foot Stella Wine Bar also has a patio with a pergola, heaters, and a 13-foot olive tree – for warmth or shade, depending on the season of the day.
Stella’s joins the other six restaurant concepts of the Post Oak Hotel: Mastro’s Steakhouse, Willie G’s Seafood, Bloom & Bee, H Bar, Craft F&B and Bouchée Patisserie.
