Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic to Deliver Outstanding Food and Drink for its 12th Year


Earlier today, we were invited to participate in a preview of some of the delicious offerings to come at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic, which takes place October 29-30 this year.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is a special ticket event where guests are invited to taste fine wines, beer and spirits from around the world. The event, now in its 12th year, also offers a great opportunity to sample drinks that you might not have thought of before. Certified sommeliers from the resort will be on hand to answer any questions about choosing the right wine for your meal or party. At today’s special preview we were fortunate enough to have a few of these skilled people on hand, and we were full of information and provided the perfect match for each. flat.

The event, while featuring over 100 beverage stations, also features over 20 catering stations from the resort’s culinary teams, offering menu items from various restaurants on the property. We were invited to try several of the dishes that will be featured at the event, including:

  • Black pepper smoked beef brisket – Braised green vegetables, white corn spoon bread, caramelized Brussels sprouts and Smokin ‘D’s BBQ smoked tomato barbecue sauce.
  • Agnolotti Brandade Black Pepper – Wilted sweet onion, eggplant, tomato petals, crispy pancetta, Nduja d’Il Mulino dressing.
  • Croquettes – Fried dumpling with smoked ham and cheese, coriander cream from Frida’s Kitchen
  • Grilled Mahi Mahi – Tuscan kale, grilled fregola sarda, Spanish sauce with Amare capers in Swan reserve
  • Vegetarian rice bowl – Organic Roasted Vegetables, Seasoned Sushi Rice, Curry Sauce, Tempura Crunch from Cabana Bar and Beach Club

  • Beef Sliders – Hand-formed Angus beef patty, truffle aioli, Hobb’s bacon, The Fountain Roma tomato chutney

  • Seared salmon with lemon pepper – Charred broccoli, quinoa, Meyer lemon sauce from Picabu
  • Putin – Yukon Gold fries, house sauce, cheddar cheese curds from the event Beer Garden
  • Bourbon apple and German chocolate cake – A seasonal dessert from the Dolphin Pastry kitchen

All the food was exceptional and made me check the website for tickets just to check out the full menu of offerings. The Grilled Mahi Mahi was easily the star of the event, with many attendees gushing out of the article and returning for more. The event is so big and so full of food, drink and lively entertainment, that the causeway connecting the Walt Disney World Swan and the Walt Disney World Dolphin, as well as the shoreline along the resort’s beach, are filled with stalls, stages, and hungry and thirsty guests.

Throughout the event, guests will find food stations, as well as themed areas, The Beer Garden, The Bubble Lounge, The Pig & The Poke, and Chinatown. Entertainment will also populate the event, with performances at the famous Dolphin Clamshell fountain on both evenings.
